First Dance Poll - Guests joining you?

I was curious about this and I don't remember seeing it before .... Are you all having your first dance JUST for the two of you, or having the guests join halway through...?

Our first song was 'From this moment on' from Shania Twain and Brian Adams. The begining verse Eddie and I danced then my parents and his parent came out and danced.

I think we are going to have our guest join halfwa through, FH is very shy and doesnt like to be the center of attention

we are going to have the BP join and them guests because songs are about 3-4 minutes long and thats a loooong time to have people just starring at you dancing. plus it will be nice to dance with the guests

just us, then halfway through just the wedding party is asked to join in. then a second song 'good luck song' is played and everyone is invited to dance

We probably will have our guests join in halfway through the song.

First us, then parents, then bp & then our guests. I think 2 songs is too long for people to stand around & watch (if you aren't dancing) but that is jmo

Our 1st dance was just for the 2 of us. Then for the 2nd dance I had both set of parents join, then the bridal party and then everyone else.

Just the 2 of us!!!!!!! We loved it!

We hate the BP joining in because they always look like they are 10 years old, being made to dance with their cousin. And we didn't want anyone else joining us. It was our moment. People can wait 4 minutes for us to have our moment. The bar had been open for over an hour by that point. They can deal.

As much as it pains me, we'll be all alone.... however, halfway through the father/daughter-mother/son (we're combining) we'll have everyone out for that

We are having everyone join us, however it is in a second song (our first one is too short to invite them out).

I will have the guests join halfway in . My FH has two left feet and I don't want him to be embarrassed

It depends... if we choose a short song - no. A longer one, yes.

Just us. We've been taking dance lessons, and will probably have the first dance choreographed.

we will dance alone for half the song, thenWe are going to have the bridal party first join us then the guests.

We actually just changed this with our DJ - we originally were going to dance the whole song by ourselves, but I changed it to have our guests join us halfway through.
