We love the song Yellow by coldplay.. When I told my family about it they said what.. That's not a slow song. Should we change it to something a little more slow?

We are dancing our first song to 'I love you more today then yesteray' - not slow either - then the band will go into Crazy Love by Van Morrison - and invite everyone to join in then

If you really want that song, go for it!! We're not dancing to a slow song, but it's OUR song and I couldn't imagine anything better for us.
ETA: We're dancing to that song alone, then playing a slower song and inviting everyone to dance with us.

i went to a wedding where the first dance was blink 182's all the small things and the only reason i remember that was because it was so memorable and unique and fit the couple perfectly.
play what you want, it's YOUR song and the last thing you want to do is dance to a slow song that doesn't represent you and FH

Our first dance song is not really slow either but it has meaning to us.
I would just make sure you practice dancing to it before the big day.

It's your day....dance to what you want! My sister and brother in law danced to Dave Matthew's Crush. We all had our opinions about it, but kept them to ourselves since it was there day and the song has special meaning to them.
