My FH and I don't have a particular song that's ours. We like all types of music and I always make him listen to Frank Sinatra when we go on long trips. Could you ladies share some first dance songs that you like, are using or have heard at peoples weddings. I need help and my wedding is in three months.

My advice something Sinatra... If you listen to it on long trips... then it is VERY much you and FH... Do you guys have a favorite Sinatra song?
We are using an Ozzy song Here For You.
Although I am addicted to the Aerosmith song don't want to miss a thing.

DH and i didnt have an 'our song' either.. we must have listened to hundreds of songs.. and printed out the words to see if we liked it and nothing.. then one day i came across Endless love by luther vandross and mariah carey we both listend to it and said.. 'THATS IT!!' we loved it and so did our guests... give it a listen!

it was important to us that it was a song for the both of us.. not the man singing about the woman or the woman singing about the man.. but them singing about each other. and we felt that song did it perfect!

Yeah I know... The Frank Sinatra song I like is 'The way she looks tonight' but that's more about me and I want it to be more about us. I like the Bon Jovi song 'Make a Memory (?)' but I'd have to pull the lyrics on that one.

We picked 'Brighter than Sunshine' by Aqua Lung. We just both liked it and it has a nice meaning. We didn't have a song that was special to us either...come on who does???

We are using Bon Jovi - thank you for loving me. We didn't have 'A song' but we both love springsteen and bon jovi.. and since it's a beautiful song.. we went for it!! Our other choice (because it's one of my fav springsteen songs) was 'tougher than the rest' by bruce. I just love the lyrics. But we decided to dance to that later in the evening bruce lyrics
a lot of ppl have covered that song as well
'(you want to) make a memory' is a beautiful song too... i love it... here's the lyrics bon jovi memory lyrics
another good one is.. 'all about loving you' if you're goin the bon jovi route
if u both love sinatra..there are lots of beautiful songs you can dance too... 'All the way ' is a beautiful song... it was actually released as a duet with sinatra and celine dion.. i've always liked it.. and it would make a beautiful wedding son this site has a sample of the song and a few others

FH and I didn't have a song, either. And he and I like TOTALLY different kinds of music (he likes Iron Maiden and Slayer and I am into pop-type stuff LOL).
I thought we could sort of compromise and do an alternative-ish type of song. I made a CD of a whole bunch that I really liked, such as 'Everything' by Lifehouse, and all the Firehouse songs. I made him listen to it, and he chose 'Thank You for Loving Me' by Bon Jovi, which was one of my faves anyway.
