FH and I have been going back and forth with what our wedding song is gonna be. We are debating between these two songs and here are the YouTube links :
I love both those songs! I'm voting for the second one for 2 reasons - you don't really hear it a lot and it's my mom and step-dad's wedding song.

Re: First Dance Song Help
I've always loved the 1st one, but the second one just gave me complete goosebumps. I'd look at the lyrics for both and see which ones' words are more meaningful to you I also am a sucker for duets, so the second one is really nice.
BUT, I also love the words for the 1st one especially if the words click for you guys.
Sorry I realize that didn't help LOL

Re: First Dance Song Help
Both are beautiful but I am leaning toward 'I Finally Found Someone.'
Here's my only issue with the Broken Road (don't laugh at me): The lyric 'Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars pointing me on my way into your loving arms.'
A beautiful sentiment but I tend to shy away from songs that mention 'the others.' I keep thinking in my mind, what if he proposed to you with 'None of the girls I've dated before hold a candle to you. I want to be with you for the rest of my life.' The overall sentiment is beautiful, but my woman-brain would be then thinking about all the girls he's dated before instead of the how much better I am or that he wants to marry me part lol
I only mention that because its a hard choice. Seriously, I think both are appropriate and they really both are beautiful. The whole sentiment of 'God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you' always makes me cry.
But then again, buy the time you get to 'Did I keep you waiting? I didn't mind. I apologize, baby that's fine. I would wait forever just to know you were mine' makes me bawl LOL

Re: First Dance Song Help
I picked #1 because it really puts things in perspective. I like thinking that all of my and my FH's experiences (good and bad) prepared us for one another. All of the seemingly 'wrong turns' were actually leading me to him. Beautiful!

Thanks girls. We're still one the fence but whichever don't do for our first dance we're gonna do for a good luck dance.

Re: First Dance Song Help
Thanks girls I've heard the rascal flatts version and fh and I both like this one better. I'm torn cause we used the line 'every long lost dream led me to where you are' on a lot of our engraved thing we've bough each other, our eparty invites and our channa plaque so I think it would tie in nicely. We like both songs for different reasons - this is so difficult
