First DIY Project!!!

First DIY Project!!!

I know i have a lot of time before I actually get married... 697 days per the LIW counter. However, The mothers want to throw an engagement part in July or August. so we can have it in our backyard... I made Save the Date Magnets to hand out at the party.. Very happy with them ... Let me know what you girls think.. THANKS!!!!

I love it!

I like the first one better (because the 2 of you are in there ) but it's hard to ready the wording. Could you make the background a bit lighter?

I think the flash makes the wording look ligther than it actually is.. its more legible than it appears.. trust me, my mom had something to say with the drafts..

They are both really nice! Yes, it's probably the flash.

How did you do them? Are they magnet? Glossy paper?

at first, i bought glossy paper and magnet paper from michaels and was going to stick them to the paper.. FMIL is very craftsy so I brought the to show her, and she told me they sell magnet paper that you can print straight on!!! I was sooo excited They sell them at Staples, Avery has a brand and so does Staples. I bought the staples brand.

Word of advice...

make sure that EVERYONE YOU'RE INVITING TO YOUR E-PARTY are the people you want at your wedding!!! You can't cut back after you give them save the date magnets and after they're at your backyard e-party. The reason I say this is that you may think , 'the more, the merrier' now, but etiquette says you must invites all these people to the wedding when the day comes, which means no A-list, B-list... no limiting # of people for budgetary reasons, etc. If they are invited to the e-party now and given STD magnets, they will have to be invited to the wedding. I wish someone had reinforced that to me when I had my e-party because now we can't limit our wedding guest list because they all have save the dates, which were our e-party favors!!!

The magnets look sooo professional! GREAT job! you should be very proud of yourself!
