Ok, so I wasn't going to do one of these, and then I came up with my autumn / leaf 'theme' and I really like how it looks when brides make everything matchy-matchy ... invites, placecards, menus, programs ... so I decided to make a menu. I do some scrapbooking, and I kinda took that approach. I bought a leaf punch at AC moore (40% off coupon made it only $5.50!) and used orange paper that I had at home ... I realized that the brown paper the menu's matted to is the same style!
I love how this looks, but I am going to try a few other things: - I may mat the menu onto a piece of cardstock that is chocolate brown instead of mocha-colored - I want to write the date somewhere, but I was originally thinking IN THE LEAF, but I do not know if it will look smushed - I want the word 'Menu' to fit somewhere but the way I have it now, everything JUST FITS - I may use paper with a leaf pattern and not do the leaf punch thing, giving me more room to write the date and the word 'menu' somewhere
Sorry -it's out of habit - i used to be a proofreader...
I LOVE it though...i would put the date in the leaf - on a downward angle - ya know what i mean?

You have GOT to be kidding me. I edit EVERYTHING I see ... didn't think to read this ... I pride myself on being an excellent speller but honestly do not know how to spell that word.
Did you happen to see my post on yelley's pet peeve thread????

Re: First draft of my menu!
I think the menu looks FANTASTIC!!!! I love it actually, you just gave me an idea on mine I agree, I think you should put the date on the leaf... But instead of the regular across or down.. Do downwards on an angle.. I think it would look really nice like that!!!! Either way... It came out perfect.. And I dont think the word menu even needs to be on there.. You can tell right away what it is... But thats just my opinion! Good luck and good job!

I think it looks really nice--I think the date should go in the leaf, but I don't that you even need it if it can't fit

Re: First draft of my menu!
I will have to play around with it. If I can make room to put the leaf upright, I'd like to just write the date across the middle, in regular format ...

Thats a good idea as well... If you can find room to make it upright, the date straight across would look great.

they came out great, I think they look perfect the way they are and the date would look cute in the leaf.

Re: First draft of my menu!
I love the way it looks!! I don't think you need the date or the word 'menu' on it. The only thing I might change is the cardstock to a dark brown, just to see which one looks better. Great job!
