First dress fitting today! (with pics)

I went in February with my dress and we pinned and prodded, and today was my first fitting with alterations... I love my dress and all the beading so much.

I go back next Friday -- we're going to up the hem on the sides a bit more (the front is PERFECT) and take it in on top a little more too. Also hem the inner lining so I don't trip...

What do you think? I'm so nervous (and still not feeling the arms, but I'm not sure about a bolero in July...)



This is with the bustle bustled up - the train is much longer than this when it's out.





Sorry I couldn't get the two sideways ones rotated for some reason, but I am so excited to hear what y'all think I just had to get them up there...

I'm a little self-conscious because even though I lost 40 lbs in the last 3 years, I've been stuck for quite a while where I'm at (which is a size 12). I still see a fat girl in the mirror but I'm trying to see a beautiful bride. It makes me feel so good that you all like my dress.

I feel the same way I am stuck at the same between sizes of 14-12 for a year now and I am losing sleep bc I am scared of being a fat bride!!

I was looking at myself in the mirror and thinking wow... I really have such an hourglass shape! It's almost like victorian beauty (if I do say so myself lol) -- our shape is what the renaissance painters thought was the perfect shape for women, and all those old sort of pictures reflect that.

Now, as long as I can keep my double chin OUT of the wedding photos (it only shows up when I throw my head back, or from the side view), I think it'll be fine. I think that's what epics are for, though, so our photographer can get it right.

Can't wait to see your pics, lola!! I'm sure you're gorgeous!

I think I might change shoes, though. When I was wearing mine today I wasn't feeling them... not that you can see them, lol, but I want to be comfortable!
