I had my first dress fitting today, and it went pretty well! I had to start my fittings early since we're moving to Charleston in June and I really won't be around much this summer. The dress fit pretty well, it just has to be taken in a little bit on the top, and hemmed up on the bottom. The seamstress said that the bustle has to have at least 12 points because my train is so heavy, she doesn't want to chance it breaking... she thinks it will end up with 16! I have to go back for my second and final fitting on June 10th!
I'm so excited that everything fit as well as it did! I lost about 12 lbs since I ordered the dress so I was afraid that it would be falling off of me! The funny thing is that apparently my boob size has shrunk and they need to order me a smaller bra... I went from a C cup to a B cup! FH isn't going to like that...
I love my dress, I'm so excited!!
In the 3rd pic if you look on the left side that's what my bustle will kinda look like, she didn't finish going to the other side.
very pretty!!! I have a similar problem (I'm only going to be in NY the beginning of the summer and then one week before my wedding, so I need to do my first fitting on the early side)

That's exactly my problem! I'm done with school now so i'll be home until mid-june, then we're moving, so i'm trying to get everything done before I move. Then i'll come back up the week before the wedding and hopefully everything will be ok! Long distance planning is not fun...
