First Fitting

When did everyone make an app't for their first fitting? How many months before?

My first fitting is August 5th.... my wedding is October 21st, so about 2 and a half months before.

I'll have my frist fitting in August with my wedding being in October.

I just had mine yesterday (July 3rd) and my wedding is Sept 22.

1 month before. Then I also had it taken in again about 10 days before. Dont do it too early. Your weight will prob change. I had no intention of losing weight, but I think its nerves!

i have to go about 4 weeks before my wedding for my first one. and then about a week before.

Depending on your dress (detail, and extent of the alterations needed!), the average is 6 to 8 weeks for the first fitting.

I did mine over April break. My wedding is July 14. Ive had 2 since then and a final one tomorrow night

I had my first fitting on Saturday - 6 weeks before the wedding. The shop told me I coudl wait until the wedding was closer, but I wanted to sort of get it over with....GOOD THING. The dress came in 2 inches short. WAY too short. I'd leave plenty of time in case anythign goes wrong!

Also, once your dress is in, even if you don't do a fitting I'd go to the store just to check the dress out.....try it on, make sure it's the right dress and there's nothign glaringly wrong. I did this, but unfortunately didn't realize the dress was so short becasue i just had flip flops on - duh!

I had mine a few weeks ago, but they think the wedding is 8/27

I had a free estaimation for my alterations in June and when I stated I liked the price, Phyllis went ahead and did everything that day. My 2nd fitting is in August and she is holding the dress until the day before the wedding for me!
