how many months before the wedding did you have your first fitting???? My wedding is in may. I ordered my gown March 8th and it's still not in. I'm adding sleeves to my gown and I think there will be a number of fittings for this. The owner of bridal shop said mid january. Should I be worried?

I am getting married in March and my first fitting is not until Jan. My dress is not even going to be here until xmass week.

I went saturday for my first and they said I couldve waited til February which is now my next one. HTH

It depends on how much you need done. I had my first fitting last week, about 6 weeks before the wedding. My seamstress said I waited a little too long (I thought 6 weeks was the norm!!!). But I have a lot of work to be done. I had my second one today and my third fitting next week. I will probably need a fourth and last fittiing before the wedding.
If you do have a lot of work to be done, I'd try getting at least the first fitting in asap.

I started mine in Oct. and had one in Nov. and my last one is December 22nd, 2 weeks before the wedding ..
I just needed a bustle though!

oK so i guess january should be fine. But as soon as january 15 comes I will be calling her because I dont want to risk it. thanks girls! i feel alot better now.
