Hey girls! Ok so we all know my dress came in this weekend lol! But I have no idea when my first fitting should be. I was going to do it in Mid October for my early February wedding. Is that too soon? Should I wait longer? Thoughts? Help! Thanks!

I would wait longer than October..Usually it is about 2 months i think...i might go end of november/beginning of december..that gives you PLENTY of time!

I planned mine for the beginning of November. And I'm getting married mid Jan.
I was told its plenty of time. (But I also don't need a hem or anything. Just some alterations to bodice and a double french bustle!!)

Usually about 8 weeks before the wedding you start first fitting, most even do first fittings about 6 weeks before the wedding. Usually all 3 fittings are pretty close from one another. You dont want to do it too early bc honestly the last week or 2 your weight can really change from the stress and everything going on.
So even if you do a first fitting, make sure the 2nd and last are close to the wedding. I had my last fitting 2 weeks before my wedding and honestly i really wished i had done it even closer to the wedding. My last fitting the dress fit PERFECTLY. Now obviously after the last fitting i shouldn't have lost or gained weight. I honestly tried my hardest to remain the same weight but i was SOOOO busy the last 2 weeks and especially last week that i barely had time to stop and eat, i had so many butterflies in my stomach and emotions that even when i tried to eat i couldnt. Sometimes when i had free time i would eat something heavy bc of the fact that i wasnt really eating, just to make sure i dont lose weight. But unfortunately i did lose a bit of weight. Normally losing the weight is what you want but not after your last fitting. My dress was a bit loose, not horribly loose but i definitely preferred the way it was at my last fitting rather than after i lost weight and can notice it loose around the stomach area in some pics

i guess its ok to go 3 months before for a first fitting, but just make sure last fitting is ALOT closer to the wedding, 2 weeks tops. My weight was COMPLETELY different 3 months before my wedding from the day of my wedding. I had lost about 10 pounds. Its ok if from your first fitting to 2nd fitting theres a difference in weight bc it can be fixed. But remember after your last fitting they arent going to fix it anymore so thats why its best to do it closer to the wedding.
