I just called to make an apt for my first fitting in March, the wedding is July first. They said that I have to wait until 6 weeks before the wedding. I DONT WANT TO WAIT....lol....I'ma sise 4 and i bought a sample which is a size 10 can I atleast cut it down a little..lol....plus I want to take everything in with me to make sure that they go with the dress........How did you are are doing your first fitting?

My wedding is 2 days after yours and I'm not due for my first fitting until 2 months b-4 boooooo!

my wedding is in april im not going until end of feb. the dress is an 8 and it was big on me . so they are going to take it in a lil. and take like half an inch off the bottom. no MAJOR alterations unless i start eating like a normal human and loose 30 lbs
im waiting for the 6 wks.
u wont need 283920 alterations.. i woudlnt schedule it that far in advance

My wedding is 5/30 - and my first fitting is tomorrow There are some changes that I am making to my dress, hence why I am starting 'early'

My wedding is mid-June and my first fitting is the first wkend of March. BUT I already went and tried it on. I couldn't see waiting. What is there was something majorly wrong and it had been sitting there for 3 months without me checking on it ? That would have been a waste of time. You are paying for the dress...go see it whenever you want!

my wedding is in 3 mths from tomorrow. i was gonna wait til end of feb but when i called they said i should come in sooner than that...
my dress is also like 4 sizes too big so it needs major work

Most places won't do the first fitting until 6 weeks before.

I figured I can do my final fitting like a few eeks before. I'm adding and taking off a few things so I want to do it now. I have been the same weight since I was 16 and I'm 29 now so I doubt I will be changing within 3 months...lol

I was told my fittings should be in May...in case I lose/gain weight to make sure the dress fits as much as possible. Then again, I dont think I'll need too many alterations- according to the chart, my measumrents are exactly a size 4 so it should fit perfect. But since you have to take it in sooo much, it sounds like it might take longer.

they say they generally like to do them closer to the wedding cuz many brides fluctuate in weight.
my salon told me to lie about my wedding date so that the dress comes in early. my first fitting's in march. but i dont plan on having the fnal fitting till much closer to the wedding.
