first fitting - how far in advance?

I just booked my first fitting for 7/28. Is that too far in advance? The bridal shop insists that it's not & that I'll have at least two or three fittings.

That doesn't sound too early. I had my first fitting June 11th and now I am having my 2nd fitting this weekend. I'm glad that I made my first fitting in June and not July like they suggested. I will go for the third one about a week before the wedding.

I go for mine on 7/21. They wanted me to come in this week, but I delayed it!

I am getting married the same day as you. I had my second fitting last night and I have my 3rd set for the 1st week in August!

I'm getting married the day after you and my first fitting is July 26th.

my 1st fitting is on 9/17. 2 months before is not too soon.

Hmm the place I got my dress aid 6 weeks before is fine. Maybe I'd better make an earlier appointment though!

I think it also might depend on the complexity of your dress. I know my dress is pretty simple, so they told me I should start my fittings about 6 weeks prior.

My first fitting was on June 29th and my second will be July 8th and I am getting married in August.
