First fitting - not a very good experience.
I just went for my first fitting last night and didn`t have the experience I was hoping for. First of all the lady helping me with the fitting couldn`t speak English and we had such a difficult time communicating. Please don`t get me wrong. I`m Asian myself and don`t have anything against people of different ethnic backgrounds. It was just really hard explaining what I needed to have done on the dress. I needed to decide whether or not to use a slip under the dress. I really didn`t want to have a 'puffy' dress which is why I was hesitant on wearing a slip. She kept telling me she had other brides waiting for her and I need to make a decision quick. It was really nerve wracking! Then for some reason I wasn`t as impressed with the dress as I had been when I first purchased it. I left the shop not sure if I had made the right decision and now it`s really bothering me. Sorry to keep going on and on. Just needed to vent. Thanks.

What store were you at? How disappointing!!!
You fitting should be happy and fun! I'm so sorry it was stressful for you! I am sure you will love your dress once again when it is complete - lots of people have second thoughts, but they always are happy on their wedding day!!! ***HUGS***

What store were you at? How disappointing!!!
I felt the same way when I went to my fitting. It somehow looked different. But when I went back for the second fitting it was a whole different thing. Remember it`s still not pressed, and taken in. So it`s not going to look perfect. You loved it or you wouldn`t have bought it. As for the actual fitting, that stinks. Call the shop and ask to have another fitting ASAP - before anything is done to the dress, and ask for someone who speaks english better. Something I discovered while I was planning is that you get in bed with the devil. No matter how reputable a shop/vendor can be, they are not quite as helpful and polite after you pay. I went to Michele Roth, who is suppose to be 'European Service' and they stunk. After I bought the dress, their service went down. They tried to reschedule fittings the night before, stained my dress, you name it they did it. You have to be firm and demand service. Don`t get blue about your dress. Once it`s altered and pressed, it`ll look very different.

Service
I agree with you about the service after you pay they seem to stop trying to impress you. A day so important and expensive they should understand working in the industry and take more care.

Thanks
Thank for your support. I have 28 days to go and I guess the stress is getting to me. I'd rather not mention the store because I've been happy with their service and they continue to be very helpful but thanks for allowing me to vent.Welcome New Vendors
