I have my first fitting this weekend and they told me to come with my bra. Well, the majority of you said to go with cups instead of a bra - so I am.
So, do I just show up with nothing and tell them to put cups in???

Re: First Fitting Question...
i agree--just to let you know, i planned on having cups, but when the seamstress looked at my dress, she said it was too heavy for just cups, so i got a long line bra (most bridal places have samples you can try on, i bought mine some where else)

I was going to do that but the cups only went up to 'C' - so I'm not going to wear anything on top.

its a strapless bra that comes down to your waist, like this:

You may want to bring a bra just to see what you like better.

Re: First Fitting Question...
I went to my first fitting with just a regular strapless bar I had. I wanted the seamstress opinion before I went out and bought a corset. Depending on your size and the style of the dress will depend if they will recommend cups.

Re: First Fitting Question...
my first fitting is tomm....
I bought a long line at Blum's and one at Macy's... you have to make sure it is long enough... I think the one I got at Blum's may be too short... depending on the waist line, make sure it is long enough.. good luck!

Re: First Fitting Question...
I thought I would hate the long line bra, but I was wrong. It actually makes me feel more secure. I bought mine at the bridal store. It was so much easier to just buy it there. I tried it on with the dress so there was no guess work like Will it look right?
Good luck with your first fitting! It will be great!

I did the same thing and it worked out great....try every option and see what looks the best.
