Is anyone NOT doing 'first look' photos?
We are getting married at our venue, I was previously married(in a courthouse-no wedding), and have a child together (plus my daughter from my first marriage). We have decided against first look pics because we want at least one thing to be traditional :)

We aren't doing a first look. I will be getting ready at my parent's house and FH will be getting ready at our apt. One photographer will be with me taking pics of me with my family and bridesmaids and one will be with FH taking pics of him with his family and groomsmen. The first time we see each other will be when the church doors open and I start walking down the aisle.

Same. But with a church there's always time between to take pics. You may just miss your cocktail hour to take pics with fh and the whole bridal party and family portraits since you're getting married at the venue. If you're okay with that, then I see no problem with it. It's nice to have a little tradition involved =)

Everyone has different opinions with the first look. If I was getting married in a church I would probably wait til in between to do pictures. Since my wedding is at the venue, FH & I really want to be at our cocktail hour, so we want to do a first look. Our photographer said it's still special and he captures that moment. He also gives us about a half hour before the ceremony where he will be with the groomsmen and I'll be in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids so that when I do come out for the ceremony it's still special

We aren't doing a first look, trying to keep some tradition since we moved in together a few months after the engagement. We won't even be getting ready at our home. I will be at my parents house where I grew up, and he will be at his. We will be having a church wedding, so we will take pictures there and at our venue. We have a break in between so we can still attend our cocktail hour.

I really really want a first look. However, my mom is totally against it. So, no first look for me either :(

I will be doing a first look, but like Sarah said, if I were getting married at a church I definitely wouldn't do one. I want to enjoy our cocktail hour (which luckily for us is an hour and a half, so we can still take more family, bridal party, and newlywed pictures for 30-60 minutes after the ceremony and still get to enjoy some of the cocktail hour).

I definitely want to wait for when I walk down the aisle. I feel bad because we will be getting married at our venue and taking pictures immediately following but since we have such a small bridal party we may be able to still attend our cocktail hour.

We're getting married in a Church so we won't be doing a first look--I want to keep that traditional! We put a lot of time in between our ceremony and reception for pics so we could enjoy our cocktail hour because many friends who have been married told me they missed theirs!

No first look for us. We'll both be getting ready our our parents' homes and walking down the aisle will be the first look. We made sure to have enough of a buffer in between the church and the cocktail hour to get our pics in without missing cocktail!

Being that we are getting married in a church I want the first time he sees me is walking down the aisle. I'm also surprising my FH with a second dress for the reception and will be able to get my first look when I change.
