First Round of Vendor Appts-Reviews
Hey Ladies! So FH and I spent entire day out in LI meeting our first round of vendors. I thought I'd post up a quick review/first impressions of those whom we met with today.
1) FM Entertainment- attended their showcase today, Frank and Mike presented and we both really loved it! They were professional, courteous, and went out of their way to explain everything thoroughly. Their prices were very affordable and overall were impressed by what we saw. We think we'll probably go ahead and book Frank for our wedding![]()
2) Twelfth Night- I originally thought I'd be getting to meet Dominic today, but guess there was some miscommunication, and we ended up meeting with Vicki instead. We still really liked everything we saw, she did a great job walking us through their process and showed us a couple of their DVD slideshows. While their prices are competitive, FH and I wish it could still be a liiittle bit cheaper. But we both really like their work, and my emails communications with Dom have always been fast and prompt (which I definitely appreciate). Overall very good impression.
3) Wedding Cinema Videography- I don't think this vendor gets talked up as much on the boards, but FH and I wanted to find a much more affordable videographer for the wedding due to budget constraints, and we were both very impressed with the packages that Pete offers. He was a really nice, personable guy who genuinely seems to love what he does. We'll probably end up booking him as well. For any brides looking for more reaonably priced videographers, I'd definitely recommend looking into Wedding Cinema.
4) LI Sound- as shocking as this is going to sound, we really were not impressed by this company. This was our last appointment of the day, so perhaps we were also a bit tired and grouchy![]()
But this was the only appt where we had to wait to be seen. And we both felt like they immediately just went into breakdown of the price and how much this and that costs without really trying to sell themselves or talking about what it is they do and why they are better than the rest. The meeting felt really rushed and I thought we would get some sample of the MC job (maybe they would get on the mic and do a little mini demo)... but nothing. And plus for what we would get at FM Entertainment, LI Sounds would have cost a lot more $$$. Was kind of disappointed with this vendor, especially since I know so many brides has great things to say. Oh well..
