I'll try I know at David's they don't care if you take pics but I know for sure at Lilette's they don't let you...but since I know the woman that I am working with there maybe she'll let me sneak a few

Re: First Time Dress Shopping

Bumped for an Update:

Sorry this is a bit late- wasn't feeling too good the past few days but I'm okay now and decided to update you ladies.

I first went to Lillette's and met with Gerri (who is a doll) I only tried on 3 dresses there that caught my eye, one was a Maggie (the one in my album- Rosemary Leigh), one was from Allure and one from Morilee. Gerri was wonderful to work with and everything went well. I fell in love with the Maggie gown (first I tried on too-go figure there). I keep thinking about it and thinking about it - I think that so far might be the one

David's Bridal(on Old Country Rd) was a bit crowded and I had a 4:30pm appointment- 6pm was closing. Daisy (who registered me) was great but it took a good 20 minutes to get an associate to actually help me. Service was okay and I tried on about 10 gowns (3 of which I can say “what was I thinking” when I tried them on- I guess sometimes the photos do look better than the actual gown). I came up with 3 gowns that I liked out of the 10. I’ll put in pictures of them as well on second post. It was way too crowded though to even take pictures unfortunately. I worked with Deanna who was a bit busy with two other brides but considering how close it was to closing I understand why it was that way.

I still want to look at some Alfred Angleo gowns. The only restriction on the gown that I want I have is that I need a plus size gown (size 24) and sleeves that covers my fat arms. Most of the gowns I know they can add sleeves on which is a good thing for me.

Umm I went this past Sunday- yes it was lots of fun and I felt like a princess!

These are the gowns that I tried on from David's Bridal this past Sunday- the gowns that I posted before were from Lillette's.

For some reason I can't find the other gown I tried on at David's so guess no picture there...lol

Very pretty!!! I like them all but perfer the first one.

You can always get a jacket made if you don't want sleeves because this way you have the option of taking it off - this is what i am doing.
