First time waxing ??

ok first - sorry if tmi.
I am going tonite for my first waxing. Thankfully my friend who is a colorist has someone thsat comes to her home so I just have to go there. It is a comfortable, familar place. All the same I am getting nervous...I know it will hurt but more so because I am a plus size but figured I am getting married once and going to be on a beach for 8 days ....

take 2 advils 30 mins before you do it, it will be fine.

it's totally worth not having to worry about it....i just clinch my teeth, but be sure your tounge is out of the way!

I did it for the first time this past summer and let me tell you, I built it up so bad in my head and it really was a piece of cake. Its more of just an uncomfortable pain to me but once its over you feel so FREE!!! And trust me Im a big wuss when it comes to waxing so if I say its not bad, it really isnt

If you have the chance buy Tend Skin at a drug store and apply it right before you leave for the appointment. It actually helps with the pull of the hair.

i just made an appointment for my first ever bikini wax too! I'm going next week, a week before the wedding. do you think that is too far before? i figured it would give me time to heal in case i have a reaction or something.

Completely agree. It is not fun but it is over so fast and worth it.

also another tip: go when you are ovulating. its when your body is more resistant to pain. the worst time is during or 1-2 days directly after your period.
