So, me n FH saw Lawrence Photography last week and loved them. We really liked how you work one on one with the photographer and that they do one wedding at a time. He was so laid back and clearly enjoys what he does. We were sure we were going with him but still wanted to look at at least one more.
So, we just came back from Patken and wow! We loved them too! We think they both do beautiful photos and videos and both seem pleasant to work with. BUT Patken has those photo projectors available which we had wanted from the beginning... Price wise they are about the same so that is not the issue....
Now we really don't know who to choose! Any suggestions or advice on how to choose?? Thanks girls!

I think deep down inside you do know, so just go with that and also who offers you the best package
Im confused though, you said something about 'they do one wedding at a time' are there photographers who do more than one

I know how you feel. Photo was our hardest decision too. At one point we were equally torn between 3 places.
In the end, we went with who we clicked with the best and gave us the most in the package

Oh wait did you mean a company that will only have one wedding that day instead of a company with many photographers who the company itself will have more weddings that day, lol im slow tonight

lol yes yes, that's what I mean. There is one photographer and he is who the client deals with from start to finish. Its ok, we all have our slow moments hehe

IMO, I would prefer to work w/ one particular person than a company, that is a main reason why I cancelled my 1st photog. and lost $800 and hired Thomas Paul

I really wanted Thomas Paul but they were already booked for my date Lawrence was recommended by my RH and Patken, well, they are all over these boards lol

Ultimately thats why we went with Thomas Paul too. We just clicked with him, his work is amazing and he isnt a 'wedding factory'

being that your photographer will be with you all day, I would go with who you felt the most comfortable with...and if it is still a difficult choice, I would let the better package make the decision for me

The thing that makes me a little uneasy about Patken is that we don't meet the photographer right away. I like how they make e-pics mandatory so they get to know you and your style then try to match you up, though.... I think now I'm leaning more towards them...

I have gotten like 3 rave reviews about Patken and thats ONLY at my job....its weird b/c I never heard of them and this woman that I work with said they do amazing work and to def check them out...she actually said 'they make ugly people look great!'
Then this other guy got married and used them and said his wife wont let the album out of their house b/c its one of her prized possesions....then I went and I checked them out and I loved them..
