First Vendor Visit Tonight!

I got a call back about the Flower Michele $15,000 giveaway and have our appt with Barbara tonight. Even if we don't win it'll be good to start getting quotes. We haven't done ANYTHING but book the RH. We have time so I'm not too worried...
Any words of advice? What should I bring, ask for, tell them?...

Bring some print outs of what you really like. Or have colors in mind of what you want. She will show you the website and then go over ideas and what you would need.

i would also bring a list of who and what you need.
Ex.
bride, MOH, (?) bridesmaid, fg, Groom, bestman (?) bm, rb
(?) centerpieces
Cake flowers? decoration for ceremony, etc.

Know exactly WHO you'll need flowers for - I included our grandparents - corsages and bouts...

Florist appts are fun - make a bunch, then you can combine everyone's ideas for you into something spectacular... That's what I ultimately ended up doing!!

I am meeting w/ Babrbara from Flower Michelle on Sat. Do they actuallt make up mock cps or bo-k's for you to see if you know what you want

I got the impression from John that they'll do a sample when it's closer to the wedding... Every other florist I went to said they'd make one right away...

Then again, John said you could make major changes up to two weeks before the wedding...

ETA: I don't think they do sample bouquets - but if they have a show to go to maybe you can ask them to make a sample then and you can see it at the show...

They can. Barbara said she would make a sample this October so I can see the seasonal flowers and pick them out. Otherwise I will have to wait until closer to the date.

Its around your six month marker when you get your centerpiece sample. On that appointment you go over any changes prior ot your sample and when you get your sample done you owe another 30% of the total.

You can make any changes prior to 2 weeks to the wedding.

i got the call too but since i havent picked out my BM dresses or my gowns or even settled on a color scheme i figured we'd put off the meeting a little longer.

bring pictures of things you like, have color and flowers you like on hand.

I already had booked with FM for some time now and Barbara is a doll.. you'll love her.
You need to have an idea on what you want also for who you need flowers for.. also a budget (if applicable). They do work within your budget.

They won't make a sample right away but you'll get great ideas just being there.. I acutally knew what colors I was looking at but I had no idea what flowers- I ended up getting something similar to what they had a sample of in the store the day I went there .. lavender/cream hydrangeas, cream, lavender, pink roses for the CP and the bouquets are really awesome as well.
