first wedding meltdown

I wish it were about something normal!

I STILL do not have my period... I know it shouldn't be the end of the world...but I just cannot picture myself in a big ballgown trying to change a tampon and dealing with the massive cramps that I always get.

I called my mom hysterically crying...she seems to be convinced that I'm pregnant (which I know I'm not)....she made an appt with a gyno for me (I've never been to one... I know...bad...but I was planning on starting when I turned 25 or so)

They said they have a medication called Provera that can induce or delay a period....I'm terrified of going to the gyno? Is it scary? Anyone ever take these meds?

Don't know about that med but the gyno isn't that scary.

i mean, it's not fun ... but def not the worst thing in the world. you lay there and she checks your boobies for any lumps, then the do a pap which just feels like a little scraping um ... inside you. it's a little uncomfortable but not painful at all.

Don't be stressed. Between the dentist and the gyno I'd choose the gyno any day!
Your friend is also probably late b/c your stressed so try to relax.

I never heard about the medication though.

aw! don't stress: the stress is probably making it late.
My period was due 4 days before my wedding and I was worrying about the same things, I figured that I would have to take my dress off every time I needed to change. But thankfully I got my period late – yes the first full day of my HM – oh joy! Thank goodness I had a 2 week HM.

same here! just go to the gyno and see what they say. and i know it seems practically impossible but you should try not to stress about it. Whatever problem that comes on the wedding day, you will be able to overcome it and enjoy your day.

See, I have the opposite problem...I am now getting it twice a month. For the last two months I hve had it one week, off one week. Annoying!!!

Go to the doc and see what she says. Totally not a big deal at all. akward the first time, yes, but after that you will have no problem showing your hoo-ha to the doc

Than after, go get a massage and relax!! (I should take my own advice!!) All will be good!

It's definitely stress that's playing havoc with your hormones!! But you should really go to the gyno anyway. It's not so bad, more uncomfortable than scary or anything! Don't worry!

ETA: Totally agree that between the dentist and the gyno, I'd choose the gyno ANY day!

never heard of the medication...but the gyno is so easy, quick and painless...there is absolutely no reason to worry
