First Wedding Planning Experience Day Done/My introduction
I never formerly introduced myself to my fellow 2013 brides so I guess I will do so now, I didn't realize what a wealth of knowledge that this site could be as far as getting information from fellow brides; so last week when I signed up, I was only on here for ideas from vendors. I have to say that the people that have contacted me with information have been such a wealth of knowledge and I am so happy that you guys are here to help out.
My name is Stacy and I am a teacher in Brooklyn where I also reside, my FH is a chef in a kosher restaurant (although I am the Jewish one and he is an Irish catholic, ends up as a funny introductory point) so the only time that we both have off to take a honeymoon at the same time is for Passover which is why we decided on a March wedding. This ends up being not so great for me because my birthday is the day that we are looking to get married, good for FH I guess cause he'll never forget the dates) although I have to say the past 4 years we have been together he has never forgotten a single important date that we have. But, I guess I will trade my birthday for a honeymoon, especially because it will be a great birthday vacation as well.
Today my FH and mom went out to look at places and while we didn't really find anything that fit our needs 100% I found that it was such a fun and wonderful experience. Thanks to the posts that you guys have put up responded to we are going to look at many more next week.
Just wanted to thank you all again, even if you haven't contacted me personally from my posts that I have put out, your posts have helped so much in my intial journey...

Re: First Wedding Planning Experience Day Done/My introduction
Have you booked your honeymoon yet? We are not even close to that stage but seeing as we are big drinkers we know we are going to do an all-inclusive place.

I have a twin brother so he gets a nice party on his birthday lol i want to do something special for him, but not sure what to do. maybe a mini birthday cake. we'll see
Re: First Wedding Planning Experience Day Done/My introduction
I am trying to steer clear from acknowledging my birthday just cause I don't want the attention taken away from it being our day. After the wedding though we are going to have an after party where I do expect a cake from my FH...lol.
If it were my brother then I would make some kind of announcement but I am not sure when, maybe during the cake ceremony if you are doing one?

Welcome! I got engaged in June but just signed my contract and became an Official 2013 bride. At first I really wanted 9/1/2012 but FH felt more comfortable booking in 2013 and the girls on here are great and getting me excited to be 2013 bride. So enjoy the ride!

Awesome introduction! I'm a teacher too! And I'm also jewish & FH is Catholic (Italian). What are you guys doing for your ceremony? FH wants to have 2 ceremonies since a Catholic priest won't marry us outside of church =/
Welcome to the 2013 Board & Happy Planning! Have fun looking at RH's & when you find the right one, you will know!
