First wedding related buy

Just a fun little question...

After you got engaged, what was the first wedding related thing that you bought. Not necessary what you booked first...but an actual tangible something you had to have asap!???

I would have to say it was my Channa plaque!! I was so excited to get it.

What about you guys?!

well technically we didn't buy it but it was bought for us... my MOH got us our Cake Topper!

I think the first the thing we actually purchased ourselves our Channa Plaque (after we chose a date and booked the hall of course)

Definitely tons of wedding magazines!!! I think I spent close to $200 on them

Believe it or not, it was my dress. My girlfriends bought me the bridal magazines and binder, FH took care of all the after expenses with engagement ring (insurance).

So the very first thing was my dress, but this was like 6 months after I got engaged.

am i a bad bride? i haven't bought anything. my friends who are past brides gave me magazines and etiquette books. the first small gift I got was from my FMIL, she bought me this small statue thingie for my curio cabinet of a bride and groom. it is very cute!

ok now i know. it was the curio cabinet lol. My FH and i bought it so that we could display our crystal and china that we got as engagement gifts! yay im not a bad bride after all

lol I dunno, I guess I'm a bad bride too! I seriously can't remember buying anything...I did get my ring appraised and insured but that's about it.

My FSIL gave me her wedding planning books, few friends gave me cute stuff like 'wedding fund jar', and my mom loaded me with magazines.

I'll see things and think 'Oh, that's cute!' but I have yet to buy anything.

My house has been sucking up all my money!!!

Well the first thing someone got us was a really pretty frame and a wedding magazine (that was from my MOH).

I think the first wedding things I bought myself were magazines

I had been waiting to get engaged for quite a few years and when i went to my parents my mom had a TON of stuff ready for me like tank top, sweat jacket, bridal planner. Then i went to borders and bought every wedding magazine they had!

Bride Magazines!!!! Everything Wal Mart had on the shelf that day...

and then Engagement announcements

ITA this is exactly what I did, only I went to Target! And then the next day my mom and I went to Barnes and Noble and bought like 3 wedding planning books lol. Was pretty much a waste of money, but still fun nonetheless!

First wedding related buy were the engagement party invitations.. We planned the party within a week of being engaged

First thing we received as a gift was a personalized ornament... then the 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 6th gifts were more ornaments... I guess thats what happens when you get engaged 3 weeks before christmas haha

i got it from bed bath and beyond (its a sharpper image brand)... it was either $60 or $80 and then i used the 20% of coupon they send out to reduce the cost

I bought a wedding planner binder. I've barely used it, I created my own. After that, I've bought the custom Mrs. Morrison hanger from Etsy for my wedding dress. Haven't received it yet.
