I love the look of them, especially the nude ones, but I am not sure if they are office-appropriate? What do you all think?

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I have seen them on woman, but I am not a fan of them for the office especially if you have clients coming in and out all day. If you just sit behind your desk I dont see how they are a problem. But if your firm has a lot of top clients coming in I dont think they are really nice to wear

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
It all depends on where you work. If you work in a creative industry, sure. If you work in a very conservative office, NO

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I wore them once to work and felt pretty self conscious. Publishing is pretty easy going, but I'm the youngest on my floor, so I still felt weird. Maybe I'll stick to my fishnet trouser socks

If you work in the fashion industry I would say Yes -- but anywhere else -- I think NO ... I do like them very much !!

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
i work in the financial industry and you'd be surprised as to what some people wear!!!
its definitely a judgment call...you know your office best...
I think if you do...try the tighter weaved ones first...
I worked in publishing as well...and casual fridays were cut off jean shorts for some people...so who knows...

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I would go for the tighter weaved one. I've also seen ones that are fishnet like - they are sheer black but have the fishnet pattern on them....some have a 'tight weave' look and others have the 'normal weave' look.
Like the other girls said it depends on the climate of your job. If you work in a creative field and many people can dress creatively then I would try it. If you work in a more professional type atmosphere I wouldn't do it.

They have the ones that look like they are fishnet but when you get up close you see that it is just the design those are nice. I think the ones that are not too huge are cool

I agree, I dont think if they have the ones with the big holes, they are NOT appropriate.

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I'm personally not a fan of the fishnets but to each his own. As for being appropriate for work, I agree that the tightly knit ones are more suitable that the old fashioned ones with the bigger holes. JMO!!

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I have a coworker who wears them ALL the time.. in ALL colors.
Somehow she pulls off the 'look' if you know what I mean.

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
depends on the office - i work in advertising so it would be ok, but at an investment bank they'd probably send you home to change!!

If you have to question it, it's always best to be on the safe side, so I'd say no.

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I personally wouldn't wear them to an office. If you work in a creative field or a trendy type place, then I'd say the close-knit ones are okay.

Re: Fishnets? Appropriate for work??
I work at a law firm and I've worn the TIGHT knit fishnets with a below the knee length a-line skirt and it looked fabulous..
I think you can go for it, unless you pair it with something that it'll make it look trashy,
