Re: VYC FISHY

That's just ridiculous!! How can they be so rude??? Forgetting the fact that they are in the business of making people excited about their wedding day, THIS IS THEIR MONEY!! you are better off going somewhere where you are welcomed with open arms, appt or not!!!

Sorry to hear that I know they have had some changes there this past year & heard nothing but good things about Felicia. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. If you are looking for something similar, I suggest you make an appt to see Chateau La Mer. All of their staff have been so helpful and super nice. Good luck & congrats on your engagement!!

WOW so sorry you had to deal with people like that when you are trying to plan your wedding!

That sounds terrible! Although I have had nothing but a great experience for the past year working with them. We started with Samantha but know that she left were working with Eric. If your still interested I would ask for him. Although if that was one of my first experience not sure how I would feel about going back.

Awww that stinks. I went to a wedding there and it was beautiful.
There must be a similar location because you don't want to be worried you are going to deal with that all year

Wow how terrible and rude of them. I would have made it clear to the receptionist that you heard what was said and that they just lost your business. There are way too many choices out there for u to have to deal with that.

I'm so sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I'm booked with them and I'm actually working with Felicia she has been great so far. She might be overwhelmed or had a bad day but that is no excuse.

yes it was inappropriate HOWEVER you went in without an appointment TWICE. How can you expect everyone to drop what they are doing at a moment's notice? Sorry, I am taking the other stance here and saying you are at fault. They should not have let you overhear their conversation, and that was unprofessional however YOU knew you should've had an appt.

I have had nothing but great experiences with them. Eric is my BM. If you want to try again, make an appt!

Appointment or not, that is a completely unprofessional, rude way to treat anyone at any time. If someone stops in once, twice, ten times without an appointment, customer service is always key, and there was a better way to handle the situation. I hope they feel that their rudeness was justified after losing someone's business.

sorry i disagree.

As someone who works in sales, and usually work off of appointments, half of my business is from walk ins. those are the best kind of customers. Even more of a reason to show them professionalism and courtesy.

If you dont like people to show up unexpectadly then dont work in an open door business.

Edit: I walked into BYC 3 times without and appointment before we booked and kathy was nothing but accomodating each time. the 2nd time she had 2 other brides there and STILL made me feel comfortable.

Re: FISHY

Is it a pain when someone comes in without an appointment? Yes. BUT there was no excuse for how they behaved. Even if they hadn't been able to see you right away, I'm sure it would've been fine. But to have the reaction they did was totally out of line and unprofessional.

Exactly this! Appointment or no appointnent it doesnt give someone the right to be rude. Even if they didnt mean for anyone to hear it! If they were busy they could have politely said so and either asked for the couple to wait or make an appt at a later time.
