Is it normal to have your first fitting a month before the wedding? I feel like it's cutting it close, but maybe it isn't?
I'm pretty sure that's what my place told me...do you need to have a lot altered??? If so, maybe ask to start a little earlier??
it seems pretty close to me to, but i guess thats what its supposed to be
my friend just got married and she started her fittings 3 months before
it depends on the person you are using and how busy they are. I went for my first fitting in March and last I checked, she hasnt started the alterations and it's a lot to take in plus I have to go again for bustle and length, but if they are confident they can do it, then I wouldnt worry (although I am worried about mine..lol)

The closer to the wedding the better in my opinion. My last fitting was the Wednesday before my wedding and the day of my wedding the dress was a bit loose! I had lost weight b/c the day of my last fitting I was nervous I was not going to be able to sit in my dress. The seamstress assured me it would not be tight the day of and she was right! If I had done fittings any earlier who knows what would have happen...go with the advice of the seamstress they do this every day.
