How far in advance do you ususally go for your first fitting? My wedding is in May and my dress has not come in yet-I'm a little nervous....

I would say you would go in March. I went for my first last Tuesday and my wedding is in March.

I am getting Married in 20 days and my 3rd fitting is scheduled for February 3. My dress came in December something. I started my fittings in the middle of January. Don't worry! What are you going to do with a dress that is all fitted and ready two months early? You may gain/lose weight. You want it fresh and beautiful!

I was told 6 weeks prior to the wedding by my place, which seemed a bit late IMO, but when I think about it, you could lose or gain weight in the last 3 months before the wedding. It probably pays to put it off as long as possible!

My dress isn't in yet either and I'm about one month after you. The ladies in the store didn't seem concerned so I'm not at this point either. If it's not there by two months before my date, then I'd worry. I'll probably be calling them once a week until it comes in though, just to check.
