Fittings...

Are u girls going for a FINAL fitting and bringing all accessories, etc?

And, how many days before your big day?

my last fitting is 5/10 which i thought wasn't close enough to the wedding but the seamstress said it was fine. i'm hoping to have a veil but that's it.

i went for my final fitting yesterday! I ordered my veil a few weeks ago and its not supposed to come in until the first week of May. But it tried the sample on with my dress. I didn't bring my jewelry though, just the shoes.

I had three fittings before I went and brought the gown home all one week apart (the seamstress was just awesome and fast!). There was slight delivery problem with my gown and it came in four weeks before the wedding but I wasn't worried.

First fitting was just so we can see what needed to be done- we adjusted the chest area and decided on a bustle style. Also she did the hem which had to be cut about less than 1/4 inch.

Second fitting- we did the bustle and saw how the top chest area fit me after the alterations at the first fitting.

Third Fitting- was just to try on after all alterations were complete- the only change I made was to add in cups which was good thinking. They steamed and cleaned the gown and got it ready for me to take home.

Fourth time- took gown home and didn't touch it until 4 days later (wedding day).

At all the fittings I had my undergarments and shoes and also veil and tiara (since I ordered everything there they kept it with my gown and steamed the veil so it's not wrinkled).
