Re: Second thoughts??

Relax- how bad can it be? You will be in Antigua! And on a beautiful beach! And drinks and food are included. Also keep in mind that there is noooo pleasing some people. How do you know its not the same person writing different reviews? Nowhere is perfect, but Im sure it will be a great honeymoon!!

I just checked out tripadvisor quickly and out of the past 15 reviews, 13 were great- 2 were just okay. Not bad!!!

Re: Second thoughts??

I also booked Sandals Antigua for my HM.
FH and I chose it because it is smaller than the St.Lucia resorts and we felt it would be more intimate.
I haven't seen any bad reviews, and I can't imagine that Sandals would let a property get run down.
Keep in mind that everyones opinion is different.
Enjoy - there is a lot to see and do on the island.

Re: Second thoughts??

They're in the midst of opening up a the brand new Mediterranean Village there this month (supposedly it's partially open now). If you're really concerned about the original resort being a bit rundown, perhaps you can see if you can transferred or upgraded to a room in the brand new portion of the resort? That's where we'll be staying Good luck!

Re: Second thoughts??

My travel agents son is going to Sandals Antigua for his HM, so I doubt it's anything less than amazing! I've heard amazing things about it and if a travel agent recommends it for her child it's gotta be great.

Re: Second thoughts??

ok, after sleeping on it I feel better. FH has never even been out of the country, so I know at least he will think it is amazing, plus, I think I have second guessed everything I have planned for this wedding about a thousand times (is that normal?) At least I dont have worries about who I am marrying, and that is what counts Thanks for the good words ladies

Re: Second thoughts??

I agree that you can't please anyone. DH & I always use trip advisor to research our hotels and some people complain about the dumbest things. I'm sure it's a nice place....but in case you're still worried I booked a trip at Sandals once and decided to cancel it (to get a better deal on a different site) and i only had to pay a $50 fee. So check your cancellation policy.

Re: Second thoughts??

we actually talked to a couple on our honeymoon at Sandals St. Lucia, and they said Antiqua is they're favorite location of sandals. I'm sure it's personal preference and everyone will have something different to say.....at this point it can't hurt to see if your travel agent can do anything(maybe credit it towards another sandals???) the worst she can say is no so u might as well just ask. Regardless you're going to be on a beautiful carribean island, at a all-inclusive renound resort - and YOU'LL BE ON YOUR HONEYMOON!!!!!! don't fret sweetie....everything will be wonderful :) good luck!

No matter which place you look at: you will get negtive reviews. How you remember a place depends on the memories you will make.
