Just a little FYI. DH and I had planned on doing a vow renewal in Vegas and changed our original wedding date to a few months earlier to coincide with our actual wedding date (had to get married a year earlier due to insurance reasons). So they were nice enough to change my original date at no cost. We've been planning this trip to Vegas and DH was offered a job that he couldn't turn down. Now it is time for the wedding and unfortunately we have to postpone until next year. They are requiring a $125 date change fee on top of the $1000 deposit we have already sent. I understand the fee somewhat but never expected this response from my wedding coordinator. Please read below and use caution if you are ever considering dealing with these people:
Hi Amanda,
I need to know by Friday, March 12th if you want to move to next year. And since I have already waived a time/date change fee I cannot do it this time and will have to collect the $125 fee now.
Please give me a call or email by Friday. Otherwise I will cancel the wedding and keep the deposit.

I have no issue with sending the $125 but now wonder if I even want to deal with someone that is this rude. Have no idea what to do at this point. Do I just reschedule or walk away and take it as a $1000 learning experience?

If I were you Amanda, I would just walk away. Like me, you always seem to have something come up in your life so I wouldnt take the chance of having to change the date again. You and Matt should do your renewel here. I remember you always spoke about your plans for a bbq.

Re: Flamingo, LV
Just remember she is working for someone and needs to follow certain protocols. Her email was a bit harsh and I'm sorry about your changes. But I was just thinking about how many requests for a vegas wedding she must get that never transpire, in general she probably has to strong arm people to get answers. I could imagine that getting pretty tough at times. But if you don't feel comfy, then it will be tough to work with her. Maybe a phone call to clear it up?

Yes the email makes her sound like a big biatch, and definitely not someone you would want to work with, but I don't think I'd be willing to lose 1,000 just to prove a point. Maybe you can email her superior, explain the situation, and request to work with another person. Either way, 1,000 dollars is alot of money to lose.

ITA. she's just doing her job, but if she's always this rude to you, i'd probably request to work with someone else. you're a paying client and you deserve that respect.

I reread this email a few times and I really am trying to see where it is that she's rude?

I'm sorry, I don't really see it either. She may have been curt, but not all that rude.

I think she's just trying to be clear and concise.

Agree. Actually I didn't even find it curt. It's probably standard policy - and the fact that they waived the original date change fee makes me even more that she's being seen as rude.

Oh honey, don't give up. Call the lady and talk to her. You are very emotion right now. I think you should work it out with her. I know you are going though something but this is something that the both you had plan. Stay strong, I would call her around 5:00 pm your time and be open and honest with her. You know you are my rock star.
