Flat Bow - how to make one for menu or invite?

Hi,

I'm in the middle of designing my menu, and I think for a little color I want to add a bow on top. I want to make those non-typical bows (not 2 loops and the dangling strings).

The bow more like goes thru 2 holes in the cardstock and comes out from behind the cardstock... more of a flat bow.

If anyone has any idea of what I was talking about and had a picture or knew how to do it... I would be greatful!

Thanks!

first of course, punch the two holes next to each other about 1/2 an inch apart (or however far apart depending on the size you want the bow center to be.)

take the ribbon and put each end through the holes starting in the front and pulling through toward the back.

flip over- the back of the invitation should have the two ends of the ribbon pointing out at you. Make sure that each end of the ribbon is equal in length. take one end and put it through the hole NEXT to it (the one on the right will go through the left whole and vice versa.) Do the same with the other side.

Flip back to the front- you should each end of the ribbon sticking out. Arrange the ribbon to make it neat and you are done!!! I hope this helps!!!
