Flat Iron for a Christmas Gift

Hi Ladies,
It has been awhile since I have even had a chance to chat with all the holiday stuff of course and everything else that comes with it!!! I was wondering if you can give me some input of Flat irons. I am in the mist of buying My Cousin and Maid of Honor Melissa her gift which is a flat iron. I have heared that the best are the SEDU, CHI and Solia. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these and which should I choose. They are all around the same price at www.folica.com From the reviews it seems you can't really go wrong with any of them, however I did note some issues with the CHI as far as breaking down. Since I wanted the best one for Melissa (she is so awesome) I thought whom better to ask then you all!!

Thanks!!

I've had my CHI since 2003 and never had a problem with it. My mom however, is on her 2nd one, but it was more of an electrical problem than anything.
HTH!

There's a kiosk in the middle of both South Shore and Sunrise Mall that is selling flat irons. THey work awesome, but they are also a bit expensive...prob around the same as a CHI.
I think its around $125. It also works as a curling iron really easily, you don't have to twist the hair around it. You should check it out. BTW--ITt's ceramic.
