FLEAS!!!!!!

Someone please tell me what I need to do to get rid of these disgusting bugs that are all over my house and my cat!
Seby is an indoor cat, I don't know how these bugs got in but he is paying the price, he is so sad and uncomfortable. I gave him a flea bath yesterday, but that doesnt keep them from attacking him again. Please help me! Tell me what to get.

I would go to the pet store and ask them. My cat had fleas and we used some mousse that worked great, I'm not sure about the fleas around the house though.

LOL!! We came home from being out last night and our choc lab ate an entire head of garlic that was on the counter. Anyway, hit the internet to see if it was poisonous for dogs but in fact it's a natural FLEA remedy!!!

Anyway, doubt you want to feed your cat garlic (BTW, our house now stinks as Max is emitting a garlic stink! LOL) ... what about a flea collar or the stuff you put on their neck?

ETA: I believe Hartz also makes a spray to spray the house (or cat bed, etc) that kills the fleas & any eggs that may have been laid.

We had this happen a lot when I grew up in Maine. We had 2 outdoor cats that would bring them in. I'm not sure how you got yours, but if they are in your house, then it won't matter how many times you flea bathe your cat...he will keep getting them.

Here's what you will have to do:

1. Flea Bathe your cat and put him in his carrier. Be prepared to have him out of the house for the entire day.

2. Buy flea bombs from your local store. I think you will need a few depending on the size of your house.

3. Stay away all day until the flea bomb directs that you can come home.

This sucks, but it is the only way you will get rid of them entirely. You must flea bomb your house. Fleas multiply rapidly and I'm sure by now your house is infested. I don't mean to say that to insult. This stuff happens. Don't worry about it. It can easily be taken care of.

Thank you so much! I'm on my way to Petco now to get the flea bombs.
I have no idea how they got in - but sadly they did! This is the first time in the 3 years I've had the cat that we got them. But I cant stand to see him this way! Thank you for your advice!

This was a yearly ritual at our house growing up! It stinks that this happened, but at least you will rid yourself of all of them. And your cat will thank you too

My sister's dog got fleas and brought them into the house. The fleas got everywhere and thy had to have someone come in and bomb the house. I think they had to stay away from the house all weekend. She had to keep washing the drapes, beding etc. It was a nightmare. Sorry you and your cat have to go through this.
