We havent booked our honeymoon yet due to FH's schedule. I just looked at prices for flights to St Lucia - the lowest was 1300 per person!!!! I cant believe it. Looks like we are going to have to go somewhere else These flights were with 3 stops!!

keep looking!! you will find something!!!!! i had alot of looking we dont not have a direct flight u will either have to stop in puerto rico or miami...are you going to sandals?? if so you can book the flights throug them

Go thru a travel agent...they can sometimes get you deals and better prices on flights!

Keep looking - our flight on American depart from JFK - have one stop in san juan and both tix cost $1200 ! Do you want my travel agents info ?

I think our flights were either $600 or $800 pp. We booked in december. We're flying from NY but back somewhere else.
As for flights with 3 connections, when we first looked (Aug 07) there were direct flights from JFK --> St Lucia but only 3 leg flights returning or 2 legs with an overnight connection. We weren't happy with either option, and waited 4 months.
We ended up booking through Travelocity because the direct flight there is AA and the return option that worked best for us was Delta (we have a flight leaving at 3pm, with a 90 min connection getting in a little after 10pm - the best we could have hoped for since there are no directs).
It's possible that a travel agent could help too -- we had a bad experience with the one we were dealing with so ended up just going it ourselves.

I booked American Airlines to leave in Feb. and it was $1100 per person non stop

We're going to Sandals in St. Lucia and just booked our tickets a month ago. I think we got it for $840 pp. The only difference is that we are taking a cruise out of Miami, that leaves us in San Juan, flying from San Juan to St. Lucia, and then St. Lucia back to NY (connecting in Charlotte). My travel agent was able to work it out that even though we are on two airlines (AA down US Air back) the airfare didn't kill us. FM me if you want her info.
Oh and Sandals is having a sale right now, $450 off pp for airfare credit. It comes right off the room rate so you don't have to book the airfare through them.
