Is anyone wearing nice flip flops instead of shoes for their wedding? My daughter is having a terrible time finding shoes and is ready to buy flip flops. she figures you cant see your shoes under the dress anyway. If you're wearing flip flops, where did you get them? Thanks

Well, I will not be wearing flip flops to begin...I plan on wearing regular shoes for the church and CH and intros into reception, first dance, etc...however I def plan on flip flops immediately following. My sister just got married 2 weeks ago and to be honest, your shoes show when you walk. If that is ok with your daughter, then go for it...better to be comfy so she can enjoy the day...JMO...HTH

I had a pair of nice shoes...but mid-wedding couldn't take them anymore and put on a pair of white platform flips from Old Navy....It was great because you couldn't see them AND they were the same height (basically) as my shoes so my dress was still the perfect length!
They aren't the nicest--but who cares? no one can see them...They only come in 3 colors though...black, white and a brownish copper. They are on sale for $7.50
For my wedding I did the same platform flip flops from old navy. It was great, I was comfortable and I wore nice sandals for the ceremony and 'big' events of the night.

I am wearing flip flops. I haven't bough them yet. but I have seen some really nice ones
FH is the same height as me. so i'm wearing flip flops. or atleast flats of some sort.

its a great idea but i have a question. Wont your dress be altered for heels? The shoes you wear to the ceremony?
What happens when you take your shoes off and put the flip flops on? wont you trip on your dress?

I am wearing dress shoes for the ceremony and pics, and then I am putting on flip flops for the reception. It was a compromise my mom and i made, cuz I wanted to wear flip flops for the ceremony too

This website offers special made flipflops for wedding. They're a bit fancier than regular flipflops but just as commfortable! I plan to buy them for my day!
I changed to flip flops during the reception to dance. I wanted to have my nice shoes for the pictures in the morning since the photographer did a little montage with my shoes and also took a bunch of pictures of my garter being put on.

Thats what my mom had told me too. But I plan on buying flipflops wit a platform the same size as my shoes. Victorias Secret usually has some pretty high platforms.
I plan on wearing my dress shoes for as long as I can, but I'll be switching to my flip-flops for the dancing!

im wearing shoes(which i havent found yet) for church then putting on my white platform flip flops i bought at Kohls. I decorated them on the sides and plastic peice on top with Swarovski crystals. Not like you will see them much but they came out really cute.

I bought platform flip-flops w/rhinestones and Grazia shoes-both same height heel wise from www.myglassslipper.com I used the Grazia shoes for pics and flip-flops for dancing-ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!

I have shoes for all the initial stuff- ceremony, dances, etc. Flip flops for after those things. Only time i expect shoes to be seen clearly is the garter thing. Thankfully I have low heels on my shoes so couls match on the flip flops, and they brought up my hem a little extra in anticipation of me sinking into the grass during the ceremony, so with flip flops and the shoes my hem will be fine. l also got flip flops for my BM's.
