flip flops
Re: flip flops
We didn't do one, but mostly because we had so much other stuff going on and we ran out of time and energy. I would've liked to have had one.
Re: flip flops
I'm not doing it...
Re: flip flops
Re: flip flops
not doing it for the same reason. i think it's a cute idea but i don't see it being used at my wedding.
Re: flip flops
I actually don't like the idea at all. I don't want people running around in flip flops.
Re: flip flops
I just decided to do it a couple of weeks ago. I got the flip flops from dollar tree so the cost was minimal. My FH though I was nuts until we went to a wedding last night and all the girls were running around bare foot. I definitely do not think it's necessary, it's just a nice touch if you feel like doing it.

Re: flip flops
We're not doing it either. My family will just take off their shoes. At the last family wedding, we all brought slippers or flip flops of our own anyway!
Re: flip flops
I've noticed that most people bring an extra set just in case.
Re: flip flops
I think I'm going to...but I think I'm only going to get like 50 pairs. I know the older ladies are most likely not going to take their shoes off.
Re: flip flops
We're not doing it. I bought satin slippers for myself and my bm's though.

Re: flip flops
I'm doing a slipper basket. I bought 100 pairs for an approx 250 person wedding. My cuz's wedding was Sat and I have a massive blister on my foot(they did not have a slipper basket). All of my aunts were complaining their feet hurt. My aunt even asked the bathroom attendant if they had slippers for sale. At my eparty, everyone took off their shoes bc they danced so much. If it is in your budget I think its a nice touch that your guests will appreciate. But if your guests bring spare shoes to weddings anyway, dont bother. I personally never bring flip flops with me to a wedding.
Re: flip flops
we did not , i only bought them for the bridal party
Re: flip flops
I am not doing it. i feel like its can get a little too expensive. And like you said I not sure everyone would use them either.
Re: flip flops
I dont think so. I have no money and just dont feel like it. I think it's a nice extra, but not needed. I dont think I've ever seen them at a wedding before.
Re: flip flops
I am not doing them. It is a nice idea, but my age group and family on the whole would just kick off their shoes as they have done for generations... I plan on buying me and my girls isotoner ballet flats to dance in.. They are pretty and comfy..I can't wear flip flops as they hurt my toes.
Re: flip flops
I'm not doing it. Out of the 5 weddings I've been to this year I don't think I saw anyone walking around barefoot. Even at FBIL's backyard wedding my 4 inch gold heels stayed on all night!!! LOL!!!
