So i have vacation coming up in Oct (the last two weeks or so)....and I want to make my slipper baskets. Yes, i know its super early, but i need a project or else i'll go insane!!!!
Anyone know where i can get 100 black flip flops, mixed sizes for not a $$$$$. Everyone says Old Navy, but i doubt i can do that online with the amount i need.
THANKS

Re: Flip flops
You have a lot of time if the wedding is in 2013! Maybe decorate baskets or whatever you want to put flip flops in on your break, but don't get the flip flops yet. Wait till they are on sale. Old Navy will sell solid colors for $1 in their annual springtime flip flop sale. You go to the store and can buy 5 at a time but keep going back on line to get as many as you want. There is no limit to how many times you go back on line to buy 5 pairs.

Re: Flip flops
Thanks guys i'm going to check out those websites. I know i have plenty of time, but i plan to do a decent amount of DIY stuff and being a doctor....i barely get time to sleep LOL. Plus i wanna project to me busy during the small little vacation in Oct.
When does Old Navy do those sales? $1 a pair is pretty sweet and i could get friends to come with me and stock up....i just need 100!!! Plus i just want black. Well prob have to go to different stores.
Thanks again!

Re: Flip flops
I think Dollar Tree has boxes of 50 in black. The Old Navy sale is usually in April or May
Do you even have a final guest list count? That makes a difference in how many flip flops you need, and a lot can change in 2 years

According to Dollar Tree, theirs are out-of-stock, probably until Spring 2012. Too late for me (thoughI'll keep checking) but could work for you .

Re: Flip flops
We dont have a solid head count yet, but our min if 250. I know its going to reach 300 + so i'm just gonna get 100 of mixed sizes. The 'worst' that can happen is that i donate the extra to the psych ward at my hospital....they always needs clothing/shoes for the patients.

Re: Flip flops
I know I was scared that the flip flop sale would be nuts like black friday deals, but when I went this past spring it honestly was so easy and I was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes and that's because I was umming and arring about a few colors I wanted for myself (not for the wedding) for this past summer. I went by myself and bought 50 pairs total, just back and forth on the line so easily. The colors they had the most of were black and white.. soooo many. If you want yellow or some certain pinks or blues then it can be more difficult to get the size you want. They're very good quality for $1, I've had a pair as house slippers and another for outdoors all summer and theyre still looking good.
I went to the Commack one on jericho tpke by Home depot.

Re: Flip flops
We got our flip flops at the Old Navy outlet in Tanger. They were $1.99 and I had a coupon for 15% off and they gave me an extra percentage off since I was buying so many. We had 96 people and I bought 36 flip flops and we had 5-6 left over. I'm selling the basket I used to store the flip flops if you're interested. I also have stamps that I used to label all the sizes..
