flip flops or ballet slippers for guests at reception
How do you ladies feel about having this. I don't know if I want to encourage people to remove their shoes. If people do, I guess that is their perogative. I just don't want it to feel like a pajama party.

Honestly, I couldn't care less if people take their shoes off at my wedding but I am not doing a slipper basket. To me it is an unnecessary added expense.

hmmm
well i think if people are going to take their shoes off (which they ALWAYS do) you probaby want them to have shoes of some sort on right?
I was going to do flip flops but then I figured that those little slip ons with the rhinestones are a better idea for a formal wedding. you can get them from some websites for a dollar each or so.

well think of this way most of the ladies will have on pantyhose and they arent going to take them off to put on flip flops so the slippers are a better bet

I think I'm going to do one, but it's definitely not necessary. Although, I don't think it will look anything like a pajama party..it's not like they'll be changing into sweats. But, I do feel like the few wedding I went to that had them, it was a nice touch. It's no fun walking around the RH and getting dirty feet.
So, if it's not your style, don't do it.

I agree, I am going to do slippers. I've been to a few weddings that had them and they were appreciated. It's really not very expensive to do and it is a nice touch.

I agree. Although I didn't do a slipper basket at all & I don't regret that. It's nice if you do it but it's just an added bonus so they'd appreciate anything I'm sure.
