so i get this giant pile of mail from my parents (all the stuff i havent changed to new address) and in it is something from old navy. not a statement - so i go to rip it up - and realize there is a cc in there. so i look and it is a new cc they issed me - ALREADY ACTIVATED!! WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT???!!
so i just called them up and blew a gasket!! what if that never got forwarded to me? what if it didnt go to my parents - but to strangers who wanted to rob me blind!!
so i had them put on the account to never in their right minds send me an activated card again or i would cancel my account.
watch out - so many creeps - you cant have a credit card company not watching out for you!
somone there needs a fresh b!tch slap!!

it is the store card for old navy, gap & banana. i really dont know who funds them i know i write the checks out for payment to the store.

Be careful with Mandee too Tricia. I never called them to change my name or anything & then I suddenly get a new card in my new name. It wasn't activated, but I was still surprised by it cause every other company I had to call.

A-holes. Trish... When you opened your account, did you happen to make a purchase right then & there? Your card was prob activated once the first purchase was made on the card.

That's just really stupid on their part. Anyone could lift that envelope out of the mail. All you need to do is feel the envelope to know that there is a credit card inside!

Thats exactly what probably happened...I just got my Luxe BR card and it was not activated....
