floating candle centerpieces

i made up a mock centerpiece, and it looked beautiful until the candles melted into one huge layer of wax in the bowl!! shooot!

i bought the candles at michaels, and was wondering if anyone has found candles that don't melt out? thanks!

All floating candles are going to do this with prolonged burning time. There is no difference in a floating candle than a regular candle's wax. Floating candles are just made bigger at the top than at the bottom so they stay 'floating'. My only suggestion would be to try another shape or style of floater if you plan on having them burning many hours.

For example a larger floater might not melt all over as quickly as a CP done with a few smaller floaters:
