I need some of your expert advice and experiences. I am planning my Feb. 12, 2010 wedding and have an appointment with a florist tomorrow. It is my first florist appt. and most people say to go to with a budget in mind. I have no idea what a typical floral budget may be for a Friday night wedding at Russo's on the Bay...aprox 175 people 15 tables, 12 person bridal party, including bride and groom, flowergirl and ringearer and having the cermeony at the reception hall So responsible for ceremnoy decoations and possible chupah!). What is a realistic budget without going flower happy and trying to keep my centerpieces simple and classy rather than tremendous and extravagant? Help, please!!!
I think that's it...and we're getting all that for around $2000.

Re: Floral Budget
it depends on what you're getting. my centerpieces are really full and are kinda two centerpieces in one. we spent A LOT on flowers. It was still in our budget but it was alot...a little under 4k.

Re: Floral Budget
Sorry I should have stated that. I know that high centerpieces are very popular, but I am thinking low, modern centerpieces, with a lot of candles and rose petals scattered on the tables.
Since it has been stated by a few of you, what is an average price difference between a low CP's and high with similar flowers?
Thanks for all of your input!

I am having some things similar to yours, but without the ceremony decorations. I am three low CPs on each table, and a 16 person BP plus two JR BMs and a flower girl. I was able to stick within a $1600 budget.
