floral centerpieces - survey

Just taking a survey...

How much $ are your centerpieces and what are they???

We are getting married at Milleridge where the centerpieces are included (1/2 dozen roses with some baby's breath & greenery). I thought it looked fine but it seems very small compared to what I am hearing from everyone here...our budget is getting really tight so I was hoping to stick with this plan but I don't want it to look chintzy. Any opinions?

Just another idea..

My centerpieces were included at The Snapper Inn, they turned out to be really little (lavendar and white daisies with baby's breath in a plastic green container). I didn't have a chance to see them before hand. But Luckily I had a lot of other distractions on the tables. I did table themes of places we have been. So next to the flowers were the 8x4 colorful sign's with the state or destination name on it (i.e. Hawaii, Grand Canyon, Texas, San Francisco.., Our table was our honeymoon destination Antigua) and I collected catalogs from all these places and spread them on the tables. I also color photo copied pictures of us at these places and put them back to back on card board and stood them up like tents.

I agree. I don't think I ever thought of changing it but in the moment all the postings seemed so elaborate (and I'm sure very beautiful). The great thing about our individual weddings are that they are just that - individual. So where each of us chooses to allocate our dollars is a personal thing. That's why I am always so bothered by the sometimes nasty bickerings that start here but that's life...and the good outweighs the bad - thanks ladies and gents. I'm glad we've had a few grooms-to-be showing up. :o) Best wishes to all!!

i would highly reccommend the best western. a woman claudia in sales was wonderful and nice to work with. plus the rates are great!!
