floral questions with pics of centerpiece

What's the difference between going with a well-known florist, and one that not well known, well they're, but not on this board. One of the vendors that my hall recommended, is charging me $2000 for my floral arrangement. I get bridal bouquet with twenty four roses, seven bouquet which has twelve roses for bridesmaid. Boutineer (not sure of spelling) for the groomsmen, one for the groom, two flowers girl basket, rose petals for the placecard table. Sixteen high center pieces, gazebo decoration, pedestal with floral arrangements for outside ceremony and flowers for the bride and groom immediate family.

I was telling a couple friends and they told me that price is excellent for what I'm getting, but someone else told me it's best to go with a top name florist because I will get what I want.

I added pics of the sample center piece the floral shop that is charging me 2000 did.

I would love to hear anyone thoughts on this and the centerpieces.

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

That sounds like a good price to me because you are getting roses which are really pricey and high centerpieces which are also very costly. Have you seen pictures of their work?

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

If you really like the sample, check out BBB and make sure there are no complaints against them. The price is great for what you're getting!

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

I was able to post sample center pieces. I will check the BBB, to make sure everything is fine. They are one of the recommended vendors by my hall.

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

Those CP's are beautiful and the fact that your hall recommended it shows something because they have their own reputation to keep up. That price is beyond excellent. My only suggestion would be to see if you can negotiate with them to take out a little bit more of the greenery and add some more flowers (but i know it was only a sample).

I agree about all the green. i spoke to them about it, and they inform me that once I sign the contract, they will design the centerpieces to my liking.

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

I think the price is really good and you don't always have to go with a well known florist. Don't always believe the hype. Who is the florist if you don't mind me asking?

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

I think they gave you a great price. Just make sure that when you place your order (if you decide to) you specify exactly what you want. If you do not want a lot of greenery make sure that you put that on the contract. I went with a well known florist and my high CP's still had a bit too much greenery for my liking.

Re: floral questions with pics of centerpiece

i think thats a great quote. CP's can get very costly. the only thing i would check out is the number of roses in the bouquets. see if they have a picture of the bouquets they described and see what it looks like when someone is holding it so you can see if its really small

I think that is a pretty good quote. I need about half of that and have received quotes of 1800. Which Florist is it?

actually roses are inexpensive, and a good way to save money on your wedding flowers. All florists said that if you want to save money use roses, its other flowers such as peonies, calla lily's, cherry blossoms, branches and so on that are expensive.

To the OP: i think thats a real great price go for it
