Hi! I'm new! I've booked Floral Terrace but have done nothing else -- starting to get worried. Just wondering -- do we have to use their house florists or can we go elsewhere -- I saw LI Wedding Newbie mention that she was going to Burton's -- can we do that? Also, for entertainment -- I was hoping to use a family friend but I'm not sure if he's insured -- is there a minimum insurance requirement / can it be waived? I keep second guessing myself on the decision of Floral Terrace -- anyone have any advice / reviews of floral terrace? thanks a lot.

Re: Floral Terrace
I am also having my wedding at the Floral Terrace. I am thrilled because they have amazing food! and the room is gorgeous! We are not using their house florist. I was not really impressed with them. I hope I am not wrong, but I am pretty sure my mother asked that we do not HAVE to use their house everything. They are just suggestions.

Re: Floral Terrace
I love floral terrace... for flowers check out burtons, and jack and rose, both vendors on this board...
the two big things to book first are photo and video...
congrats!

Thanks
Thanks for the help! Will definitely check out Burton's and jack. Guess I'll just have to call floral terrace again about the florists -- the contract does say that 'only house florists may be used' but maybe they're lenient. Thanks!

Hey! I'm getting Married at the Sand Castle (owned by the same people)
You don't have to use their house anything. The Band I don't think has to be insured - but check on that.
The food is awesome! Are you going to use your free trip to crete?

Re: Floral Terrace
I'm getting married in October so Andreas said that Crete would be a 'cold' -- we're going to delay the trip to the following spring / summer. It's okay -- I have my heart set on Hawaii for our honeymoon! =)

Re: Floral Terrace
Hi! Good choice with the Floral Terrace! :) I am getting married there this August! You don't need to use the house florist, I had asked them about that a while back. I am using another florist! Good luck with everything! FM me if you need anything or if you have any questions!

Re: Floral Terrace
Hi: Like RobLuvsMe said, I'm having my reception at Floral Terrace in May 2004. We love it there. It's gorgeous and we've heard awesome things about the food and service. You don't need to use their florist. However, I'm pretty sure that the DJ has to have insurance. We booked one of their house DJs b/c we really liked them when we saw them at FT's bridal showcase. Our DJ is Big Hits Entertainment. We chose Patken as our photo and video. We love them.
Good Luck

Re: Floral Terrace
Hi. My fiance and I are also getting married at the Floral Terrace. We are very pleased with our decision. My cousin and my friend got married there. The service is outstanding and the food is amazing. Don't second guess your decision. Prior to booking the Floral Terrace, we went to several catering facilities. In the end, my fiance and I decided to book with Floral Terrace because they have an excellent reputation and we wanted to get married somewhere that only had one Wedding a day. My fiance and I booked with Jack and Rose Florist located in Woodbury. We are very pleased with our decision. He is friendly, dedicated and very creative. He has a genuine interest in our Wedding. He provides you with design sessions prior to your wedding to show you samples of bouquets and table centerpieces. The best thing about Jack is that he treats your Wedding as if it was his own. My fiance and I recommend Jack and Rose. He is familiar with the Floral Terrace and he creates beautiful floral pieces. Good Luck.
