FLORAL TIP for brides!!!!!

This is a small detail but a GOOD one to remember to tell your florists about:

I met with my florist recently and I noticed on my contract it said TWO bouts for my FH (???) So I questioned it (my sister did the same thing with her contract, too funny) and he explained to me that he makes sure the groom has two because 99% of the time the first bout gets 'SMUSHED' beyond recognition during the receiving lines (lots of hugs!)... So I thought WOW, I would have NEVER thought of that and then we are going to take pics after that and his bout will be all smushed in the pics... so that's when he would switch to the second bout!!

I just thought it was SO clever and I wanted to share with all of my fellow brides-to-be so that when you meet with your florist OR if you already have, simply call them just to say add it or check your contract to see if you have it already!! I thought this would help some of you-- it's a good tip and my florist is a genuis at what he does LOL

Thanks-great tip. Someone mentioned to me that they do with Bo-Ks too?? Sounds expensive though.

I went to 5 different florists, and the one that I ended up booking was the only one that mentioned this to me. I thought it was such a great idea as well. He did not tell me why he was going to give FH 2 of them (I did not ask either), he just threw it in.

Thats a great idea!
I didn't use a traditional wedding florist, so I will have to bring that up!
My florist said that the boot doesn't usually last longer than the ceremony!

i thought all florists do that automatically. they all mentioned it to me when i was shopping for florists

maybe some do-- i met with four aside from the one i went with and none of them put it on the write up that they gave me... but maybe that was just the few i met with. either way, it's nice to make sure! it's good that yours did that automatically though, it's a nice detail to remember!

This is funny b/c John at Flower Michelle was telling me about this when I met with him! How knowledgable is he?! SO yes! I am getting a second Boutanniere for him as well for this reason!!!

yeah he's great... i saw a pic of your BM's dresses in your album-- they are the same dresses my sister's BM's are wearing in two months-- only hers are soft pink but i'll be wearing it as her MOH-- i tried it on last week and i love how it feels-- it's so comfortable!!! and SO flattering!
