Florida Honeymoon???
Hi again! We've been discussing honeymoons forever, and our wedding isn't even until next August. Anyway, we were looking into a Florida honeymoon. We'd like to go to Disney World,Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, etc, etc. We're not definite, because we don't know how much it'll cost, but we thought it would be a lot of fun. What my question is, has anyone gone to Florida, and instead of staying at a hotel, has gotten a Vacation House instead??? My fiance really likes the idea of having our own private swimming pool, and just the privacy in itself. I don't know if these places that advertise on the internet are legitimate or not. Does anyone have any input??? Also, anyone recommendations on romantic things to do in FLA??? Sorry this is so long! Thanks again!

Florida Honeymoon???
I lived in Florida for six years and there are lots of things to do there. Usually if you go online and check out realtor sites or vacation rentals you can find realtors that rent out homes/condos, whatever, for vacations. And it's usually easier to find something for a week's time. There are some one day trips you could do from Orlando area. You can go to many of the beaches. I recommend the gulf coast, so pretty. You could drive to the Ocala National Forest, if you are into nature, and there are a lot of natural springs you can go tubing down and just relax. Check out Ginny Springs. You can check out Church Street Station in Orlando for some fun stuff at night, too. You'll have a great time. Good Luck!

Florida Honeymoon??? (Long)
We were there last summer (he proposed to me in front of Cinderella's castle) and we had so much fun. If you decide to go for a hotel, we stayed at the Wyndam Palace, which is right outside downtown Disney. Also, it provided transportation to each of the other Disney parks. There is so much to do in there, you won't be bored. We were there for 7 days and we didn't even get to see everything. Also, if you do decide to go, I suggest getting tickets to Cirque du Soleil: it was incredible.

We're going to Florida for our honeymoon also and staying in Disney. I can keep you posted on prices and resorts as I get them if you like.

Our date is August 26 (2001). I will be going to an agent soon and I'll keep you posted. I didn't realize you were in North Carolina so the prices may differ in airfare but the rest should be about the same. I got quotes from Disney reps themselves, and their prices were really up there & we were foggy on what was really included.Welcome New Vendors
