How long before the wedding should you book a florist?

We booked our florist over the summer, prices go up for everything, so our motto was, the sooner the better

Usually the florist develops your scheme based on the dresses you pick so normally after the dresses are picked out. But if you find a florist you trust you can book and lock in certain rates and then develop your BoKs later.

i went to a florist in dec. and he told me just to come back when I have my bridesmaids dresses picked out because typically they match the color of the bm dresses. SO now i wait. I know what they are going to wear so I am going to go back in april when i have teh accent color of green picked out for the girls sashes.
