What is the average price for the florist?? I recieved a quote from one who I want to use and it comes to 4700. Is that on the higher side???

thats definitely on higher side, unless ur getting a lot of high cp's or u have huge BP. try contacting chris at east meadow florist - 516 794 0020

are you kidding?! that is definitely on the high side... I'm presuming you're having a larger wedding with 20+ centerpieces?
do you have a large bridal party?
do you need a lot of ceremony decorations?
If you don't need that many flowers, maybe the florist got carried away and intends to give you enormous centerpieces, and tons of ceremony flowers?
we're having a small wedding with about 8 low centerpieces, 18 pew decorations, 2 BM bo-ks, and about 6 corsagers and boutenieres... our florist is not exactly known to be inexpensive, and our total bill is $1550.....

im paying $750 for everythng but my cp (they are included with the rh) calll flowers by burtons and get a quote from them!

If you post exactly what was covered in that $4700 quote, it would be easier to say just how high or not the quote is.
Although Burton's is known to be very inexpensive, they were actually the MOST expensive quote we got (more than Flowers by Brian, Flower Michelle, Verbena, and Designs by Rose).
The best quotes were from Verbena and Designs by Rose - but DBR gave us so much for the money and they are so great, talented, sweet, etc. DEFINITELY contact Designs by Rose. 718-848-7511 or DBR website

and TONS of decorations cause mom went a lil crazy
HOWEVER when i went to FBB they quoted me abt that amount and I was getting about 1/4 of what im getting now!!

soo cool!! have only half the prepurchased tealight favors that i need - my florist is doing a 6 piece 'breakaway' centerpiece for each table. each one is a small (width of my hand) thick glass bowl with flowers in it. i am going to scatter 6 'flower bowls' and 6 pewter tealights on each table. unfortunately i dont have a pic just yet - but it should be cool!!

Depends on what you got...What type of flowers, how many cp's, bouquets, church decorations, and all of that.
I have 25 high cp's with cala lillies, branches and orchids but might change that to amaryllis.
I have a peonies bok
9 bm bok's all cala lillies
flower girl basket
12 church pew bows
two large floral arrangements in front
2 mononosegays for our mothers, we didnt want corsages and got this instead for them and 3 for our grandmothers,
11 cala lily boutinniers for gm, 1 for fh, 1 for RB and also our fathers.
Place card table high cp arrangement
so if you have a lot of cp's also, a big bp and also doing ceremony flowers then it might not be alot...and also depending on what flowers you got
