Any one out there use 'The Flower Barn' in Seaford for your florist? I spoke them, and heard good things - but just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing... you know - are there any 'issues' I should know about?

Re: Florist...
I met with Michael last week! He was very nice and the price was good, but we decided to go with someone else. I hear great things about them though. If you do a search and narrow it to the Bride's Review Forum, you will come up with some reviews from past brides. GL!!

Re: Florist...
My cousin wanted to use them for her wedding and engagement party. She used them for her engagement party and they forgot to bring one of her centerpieces. When she called them to tell them they were very rude to her and hung up on her sister too.
P.S. she is not using them for her wedding. Other than that, I dont know anything else about them.

Re: Florist...
I used then for my wedding. All of the flowers were GORGEOUS. There are some pics of the bouquets in my album under wedding proofs. There were 3 things that went wrong....1) The centerpieces had some pink flowers in them and I only wanted lavender and white. 2) There were no hydrangeas on my cake and I had asked that in between each tier that there be hydrangeas 3) DH's boutineer hardly had any color in it because the orchid didn't fully bloom yet.
Other than those things Mike worked with my budget and like I said all of the flowers were beautiful and I got so many compliments on them.
Also my best friend that is on here dbleplay17 used them for her wedding and there were no problems and all the bouquets and centerpieces were gorgeous. She has tons of pics in her review.

i don't know anything about their reputation but i met with michael and he was very nice and helpful. i decided not to go with him because my florist really got me, we seemed to be 100% on the same page... and she was $600 cheaper.

Re: Florist...
i just did a search for flower barn on brides review, and they don't seem to have any really negative reviews... a few 'minor' issues here and there (minor being a relative term) but most brides seemed happy with them.

Re: Florist...
which florist did you end up using?
yeah the minor things that went wrong were wrong colors in the centerpieces and cakes...I would be upset about this after paying all this $$ for colors that I chose and did not get!

Re: Florist...
use them! they are wonderful. I just had my 'centerpiece trail' last night .. everything was just what I wanted. they listened to everything I wanted and worked with my budget ... they are just great! you should meet with them for sure!
remember .. even the best of vendors is going to have someone complain at times. Give them a shot!

I wound up going with Flower Barn - they were $700 cheaper than the other places I was looking at... we're only doing BoKs and boutennieres (sp?) - no centerpieces, cuz we're DIYing them... plus their shop is around the block from my mom's, so he said (and put in the contract) that if there were any problems, he would go back to the shop to make any corrections... I found that reasonable.
